Dr. Marnie Dobson<\/b> is the Director of the Healthy Work Campaign, as well as the Associate Director of the Center for Social Epidemiology since 2005. With more than 15 years of experience conducting worker-centered occupational stress research at the University of California, Irvine, Center for Occupational and Environmental Health as an adjunct professor, she continues to publish academic articles and book chapters and present at scientific conferences around the world.<\/p>\n

Marnie\u2019s role as Director of the Healthy Work Campaign (HWC) includes coordinating and collaborating with colleagues in the CSE\/HWC projects including the development of the Healthy Work Survey, and guiding numerous organizations about how to implement the HWS and best intervene to reduce work stressors and improve employee health and well-being. She is also the lead science editor and writer for the HWC website and all educational material,\u00a0 blogs and articles published internally and externally. Dr. Dobson and her HWC team colleagues are available for interviews, presentations, and meetings about the essential nature of healthy work and how to achieve it.<\/p>\n

She is also an Assistant Adjunct Professor at the University of California, Irvine Center for Occupational and Environmental Health (COEH) where, for the last 12 years, she has been involved in work stress research, including qualitative, participatory methods, enhancing epidemiological studies and intervention development with several blue-collar working populations including firefighters and urban transit operators. She continues to teach in occupational health classes at UCI and UCLA, as well as publish academic articles and book chapters and present at scientific conferences.\r\n\r\nMarnie\u2019s role as Co-Director of the Healthy Work Campaign (HWC) includes acting as the lead science editor for the HWC website and all educational material, and as a lead writer for the Healthy Work Articles column on Medium.com. As well, she is writing a companion book to the documentary film (in development) Working on Empty<\/em> and plans to continue interviews with working people and experts towards those ends.
