In case you missed our previous Events post, Workers Memorial Day 2022 (Thursday, April 28th) and Workers Memorial Week are coming up–with events starting as soon as Friday, April 22nd and lasting through Saturday, April 30th. You can learn about them through National COSH Network (in English and Spanish), AFL-CIO, and elsewhere.
However, two events we wish to highlight are:
- 4-24-22 (7pm ET) – USMWF’s National Virtual Workers Memorial Day Ceremony – giving voice to the families of fallen workers
- 4-27-22 (2pm ET) – National COSH’s Workers Memorial Week 2022 Dirty Dozen Release – a Zoom press conference where NCOSH shares statistics about worker fatalities, highlights the responsibility the Dirty Dozen unsafe employers, who create and allow working conditions that hurt and kill, and uplift workers who are campaigning to hold their employers accountable (Register here.)
